For over 30 years, development, construction and production has taken place in the Bavarian-Swabian town of Burgau in the Günzburg district. Our service technicians can carry out delivery and assembly throughout Europe upon request.

Increased exports
Our export business is constantly growing and we are happy to sell more and more products abroad. 2017
Generational change
In September 2017, Berthold Groß and Peter Rossmeisl sen. decided to withdraw from the operational business and the management of the company was handed over to their sons.
Peter Rossmeisl Jr., who has been with the company as a customer service representative since 2012, and Markus Groß will now direct the fortunes of sunex. Always aware of being able to draw on the invaluable knowledge and experience of their parents, the company's motto continues: "Where others stop, we begin."

2002
Relocation
After expanding the product range to include roller shutters running from bottom to top and winter garden roof roller shutters, demand grew ever greater. So that quality standards and delivery times could be maintained, the shareholders decided to relocate production. From then on, our products were manufactured on Josef-Drexler-Straße, where this requirement could be met thanks to larger capacities.

1994
Founding
Berthold Groß and Günter Degendorfer took on the problem of the ever-increasing number of asymmetrical windows and the associated need for shading or darkening them.
They developed a special roller shutter that continuously shades sloping windows from top to bottom, and thus the company SunEx GmbH was born on December 29, 1994.
From the very beginning, the goal of the two founders was to produce technically high-quality, yet elegant roller shutters in order to fulfill every conceivable customer request. At that time, the office was located on Spitzstrasse, while production was carried out on Norbert-Schuster-Strasse.
In the years that followed, Markus Groß joined his father's company as a partner and production employee after completing his apprenticeship as a roofer. Peter Rossmeisl Sr. also brought As managing director (sales), partner and sales employee, he brings in his experience from 30 years in the window and sun protection industry.
